Once set up, a Content Management System will save you a bundle in web publishing costs

There are hundreds of content management systems on the market. In my opinion, you will only ever need one of two. WordPress or ExpressionEngine®

Content Management Systems were developed to help the less tech minded among us to publish dynamic content, without having to get involved in the how or why. Once the system is set up, you are free to publish your content through a simple online interface.

Blogging seems to be the thing to do in Sweden right now. Just about everyone with an Internet connection has anything from a simple Google Blogger account, to a fully flexible CMS driven blog.

WordPress and ExpressionEngine

WordPress began its life, as a basic blogging tool. Over the last few years the software has grown into the worlds biggest blogging and small to medium business CMS. ExpressionEngine is similar to WordPress in the fact that it's easy to use, but that's where the similarity ends. EE is a fully flexible, modular CMS that knows no boundries.

Which one is for you?

In most cases, WordPress will suffice, it's only when you start heading into eCommerce territory and require multiple categories with a range of custom fields, WordPress may begin to struggle. If this is the case, the $249.95 price tag for an EE business licence is still extremely low for the excellent flexibility and support you receive.

How can I help you?

Implementing CMS's is something I really enjoy doing. If you think that your business could benefit from a flexible CMS then do not hesitate to contact me. I usually only deal with the two aforementioned systems but if you need help with another, I can surely point you in the right direction.
